We are in the third year of Covid. (Dare we even speak its name?) If there is anything this dreaded virus has taught us in the marketing business, it’s that a strong marketing presence is everything for your business to thrive virtually. But as Covid changes, so do the marketing trends. Let’s take a look at what is trending in marketing for the rest of 2022.

Video Marketing

While we all thought (and hoped,) that TikTok was just a phase, it looks like it’s here to stay. From Youtube, Facebook and Instagram…everyone is making their own type of short film content creation. In a recent study, it was shown that the average person’s attention rate went from 12 seconds in the early 2000s to now only eight seconds present day. Hence why quick video marketing is one of the fastest growing ways to catch people’s attention for your brand and business today. So get ready to bust out your greatest dance moves and go viral in 2022 with what’s trending, because it may or may not make or break your business.

Virtual Reality

VR is starting to become a common thing now-a-days. Whether that’s because it’s cool and trendy or because people are trying to escape the political temperature of real life, we may never know. What we do know is, it’s making a huge wave for marketing this year. VR allows a customer to be emerged into a somewhat fantasy like world through glasses while interacting with their hands. Some are calling VR, 360-degree marketing. Not sure where to start with VR? Try revamping something old-school like business cards or business meetings with a little VR.

Live Streaming

Looks like 2018 is making a comeback, because the live stream is trending this year. Watching streamed content has risen up to 250% over the last few years. With this constant rise, and no signs of stopping soon it’s time to set up the ring light and hit record. People are engaging with videos more than ever, creating a relationship between you and the customer. As they watch they form an emotional draw towards brands, becoming more likely to purchase a service or good.

Interactive Marketing Content

Many brands create wonderful content, but people often don’t know what to do with it. Getting a virtual audience to start a conversation with you is always a win. Think about creating pieces that perk interests, speak to people’s emotions and get them commenting on your page. (Good comments of course.) This also includes skipping the chatbots and allowing people to interact with…dare we say another human. Let’s be honest we could all use a little more human interaction these days.
